I am honored to have been the East End's community plastic and hand surgeon for the past 23 years, with my practice in Southampton. I've seen some incredible advancements in medicine during my career, but none compare to adipose-derived (or mesenchymal) stem cell therapy. These are your own stem cells, not from an embryo or umbilical cord blood. They are yours! The cells are harvested during a gentle liposuction procedure performed under local anesthesia in about 30 minutes.  The stem cells can either be injected immediately or sent to a specialized lab that will permanently store and grow your cells, depending on the condition we are treating.
